Often called "the best in the business", Coach Mike offers private lessons to kids, women and men of all playing abilities. Students receive video clips of their swings, recommendations for improvement, and before/after photos. Mike is a US Kids Golf Certified Instructor and in May 2019, Mike shot 72 to pass the PGA of America Playing ability test, allowing him to enter the PGA of America program.
A few of the students who have made tremendous progress working with Mike include:
Tyler, a high school sophomore, went from shooting in the mid 50's for 9 holes to shooting 78 for 18 holes in the District Championships for Lake Braddock HS. He reduced his handicap from 35 to 5 after 40 lessons.
Dylan is a 25 year old basketball coach who, after 32 lessons in 5 months, dropped to a 4 handicap and shot 72 at Lansdowne golf course.
Mike's daughter, Lauren, was 8 years old when she won the US Kids Tour Championship, shooting a 6 under par round of 30 for 9 holes. Lauren was 9 when she played an 18 hole round for the first time to win the Algonkian Women's Club Championship, shooting an 84 from the red tees (5500yards). In spring 2018, in only her twentieth 18 hole round, Lauren shot below par at Brambleton with a 71 to win a US Kids event. Her other accomplishments include tying for 6th at the 2018 Virginia Amateur tournament at 12 years of age, shooting 77 and 75 at Farmington Country Club. She was the youngest player in the field by 3 years and tied Virginia Tech's best player, who would later finish 5th at the national NCAA event. Overall, Lauren has won 38 of 53 tournaments she has entered.
Mike will show you the secrets that he taught Tyler, Dylan, and Lauren. Mike looks forward to increasing your knowledge of golf and helping you become the player you have always wanted to be.
